Anything Is Better Than The Dead

"Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out." Song of Solomon 4:16
Anything is better than the dead calm of indifference. Our souls may wisely desire the north wind of trouble if that alone can be sanctified to the drawing forth of the perfume of our graces. So long as it cannot be said, "The Lord was not in the wind," we will not shrink from the most wintry blast that ever blew upon plants of grace.

Did not the spouse in this verse humbly submit herself to the reproofs of her Beloved; only entreating Him to send forth His grace in some form, and making no stipulation as to the peculiar manner in which it should come?

Did she not, like ourselves, become so utterly weary of deadness and unholy calm that she sighed for any visitation which would brace her to action?

Yet she desires the warm south wind of comfort, too, the smiles of divine love, the joy of the Redeemer's presence; these are often mightily effectual to arouse our sluggish life. She desires either one or the other, or both; so that she may but be able to delight her Beloved with the spices of her garden. She cannot endure to be unprofitable, nor can we.

How cheering a thought that Jesus can find comfort in our poor feeble graces. Can it be? It seems far too good to be true. Well may we court trial or even death itself if we shall thereby be aided to make glad Immanuel's heart. O that our heart were crushed to atoms if only by such bruising our sweet Lord Jesus could be glorified.

Graces unexercised are as sweet perfumes slumbering in the cups of the flowers: the wisdom of the great Husbandman overrules diverse and opposite causes to produce the one desired result, and makes both affliction and consolation draw forth the grateful odours of faith, love, patience, hope, resignation, joy, and the other fair flowers of the garden.

May we know by sweet experience, what this means.

Don't you love the Word of God?  Spend time reading God's word and praying according to God's word on your kneeling prayer pillow today.

Heal Me Oh Lord!

Do you or someone you know need healing? Guess What? Whatever sickness or disease you have can be healed. The first step in this process is that you have to believe to receive your healing. This is true because James 2:17 says "even so faith if it hath not works is dead being alone."

The second step is doing what it takes to increase your faith. How do you increase your faith? Romans 10:17 says "so then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." God's word is two things: it is the written word and it is the living word. We have God's faith when His living word is living in us! When we receive God's word we are not receiving words of man but we are receiving thoughts of God.

In conclusion, as you pursue your healing, know that with the spoken word, not only comes the word but the faith also to believe it. We can take our believing power, the faith that comes with the promise and with the spoken word and we can put it as a key into the door to healing. When we do, we unlock within the word, the power it has in itself to bring about the fulfillment of what it has promised - healing.

What Will You Harvest In The Last Quarter of 2011?

I read an article today that talked about the corn crop and how some farmers are nervous because of the exceptionally hot weather. The other reason this is a concern is because next month is the beginning of harvest time.

Just as these farmers are nervous about their harvest of corn, are you nervous about what God told you that you are to harvest?

No need to fear because the Word of God is near!

Genesis 8:22 says "while the earth remaineth seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease".

Have You Ever Been Labeled As "The Help"?

Let's see if you have ever carried the title of "The Help". There's a new movie out called the Help and it also has an accompanied book. I look forward to seeing the movie when it airs based on the previews. I begin to think about the title of the book and movie which is "The Help" and decided to look into the word "help".

According to Merriam Webster Dictionary the definition of help is "to give assistance or support, to further the advancement of, to change for the better. So does this describe you? How often do you hear someone say to you "you're so helpful".

As children of the most high God, we are to be immitator of Christ by helping each other as we intercede for each other through prayer. During this time of famine, wars, rumors of wars and earthquakes, prayer should be made on behalf of this world and everybody in it. We must put our hope and trust in Christ. As we go to God in prayer as the only help we know, it will increase our faith and help us to trust God even more.

In conclusion, think about something and/or someone you can help by praying. As you put others before your own problems and situations, your problems and situations will supernaturally work out for your good.

If you are one who like to kneel when you pray, a kneeling prayer pillow will help you do it in comfort.

Can You Be Forgiven If You Keep Commiting The Same Sin?

I was watching TBN today and David G. Evans was on the Benny Hinn show talking about grace and forgiveness of sins. He made reference to several scriptures pertaining to grace. He also said that grace is not a license to sin. Benny Hinn asked was there ever a point when grace would not work anymore. David G. Evans let him know that God is long suffering but does not suffer to eternity with sin.

There is going to come a day when sin is not going to be as enjoyable as it once was. The Bible says that sin is pleasureable for a season. Let's not keep repeating that season. As you take time to read God's word and pray on your kneeling prayer pillow, you will get closer to God. As you get closer to God, your flesh will have to take a back seat to the Holy Spirit.

Here is a scripture to meditate on as you reflect and repent of your sins.

Psalms 86:5 – For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. King James Version

August 10th Utilize Your Kneeling Prayer Pillow To Talk To The One Who Strengthens In Time Of Fear

Many people are going through trying times right now and are operating in fear instead of faith. The kneeling prayer pillows were birth into my spirit as I was going through a process years ago which tried to make me operate in fear instead of faith. Instead of trying to figure out how to move forward on my own, I began to spend time in prayer so that I could get revelation from God on the matter. Since my prayer time went from 5 to 10 minutes daily to 60 minutes, I definitely needed a kneeling prayer pillow. I was able to focus without discomfort while utilizing my kneeling prayer pillow and received instructions, encouragement and strength. Because of the righteousness of Christ, I was able to make right choices and decisions during my process. Now I am able to encourage others on the power of prayer and perseverance in times of fear. Here is a scripture that I was able to read and meditate on that strengthened me and helped me to move from fear to faith.

Take 60 seconds and meditate on the following scripture pertaining to the one who gives strength:

Isaiah 41:10

Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. King James Version

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. New International Version

Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. The Living Bible

Write a prayer to the hand of Him who strengthens based on the memorized verse:

Thank you Jesus for choosing me and placing me in your kingdom. This verse was consolation to me as I was going through a painful and fearful time in my life. Thank you for letting me know that I had nothing to fear because of who you are to me.

Write down what God's will is for you as the one who strengthens based on the memorized verse:

God wants me to know that when I am confronted with situations that try to move me from faith to fear, I can spend time with him in prayer and get assurance that I serve a God who knows what I am experiencing and will come to my rescue.
Write down what God wants you to go and do based on His strength to reap the harvest:

God wants me to strengthen others in their time of fear as I testify to them of how God strengthened me when I spent time with Him in prayer. They too can move from fear to faith through having a right relationship with Jesus Christ.

Are you going through a time of fear? Take 60 seconds or 60 minutes and go to God in prayer so that you too can be strengthened in your process. The kneeling prayer pillows I am referencing can be previewed here http://createaprayerpillow.com

August 9th Talk To The Hand That Strengthens As You Use Your Kneeling Prayer Pillow

Take 60 seconds and meditate on the following scripture pertaining to the giver of strength as you use your kneeling prayer pillow or use your travel prayer pillow:

I Peter 5:10

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. King James Version

And the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ after you have suffered a little while will himself restore you and make you strong firm and steadfast. New International Version

After you have suffered a little while our God who is full of kindness through Christ will give you his eternal glory. He personally will come and pick you up and set you firmly in place and make you stronger than ever. The Living Bible

Write a prayer to the hand of Him who strengthens based on the memorized verse:

Nothing brings people to their knees more than suffering. My kneeling prayer pillow has come to play an important role during my times of suffering. You may want to use your kneeling prayer pillow as God strengthens and settle you as well. At different intervals during the day, you may want to take these scriptures on strength and meditate on them as you use your travel prayer pillow on the way to work, on the way to church or on a short getaway to be with God. God help us to tap into your strength as we go through.

Write down what God's will is for you as the one who strengthens based on the memorized verse:

While utilizing my kneeling prayer pillow, I don't have to rush through hearing from God. When I am going through my time of suffering, I want to know what God's will is for me. I will meditate on the word pertaining to strength that comes with the travel prayer pillow so that I may be encouraged to go through to the glory of God.

Write down what God wants you to go and do based on His strength to reap the harvest:

Once I go through, that doesn't dictate that I stop using my kneeling prayer pillow for prayer. I have been strengthened in the process and want others to know as they go through they too can tap into the strength that comes from God. Utilizing the kneeling prayer pillow or the travel size pillow will be suitable to use regardless to whether you are going to pray for 60 seconds or 60 minutes. But when you know that you will be going through a process, I would recommend using the kneeling prayer pillow until you are strengthened and stablished.

August 2nd Talk To The Hand That Strengthens

It was 2002, everything was about to change for the good I thought. I had everything mapped out. I was going to buy the new 2003 BMW 740 edition. I had seen it at the 2002 car show. It was $67,000. I didn’t care because I was going to be free of all bills. I didn’t have a care in the world. No marital problems, no children problems and no health problems until everything hit the fan. Everything that was ok became major problem situations overnight. I felt like Job. The occurrence of these events sent me into uncharted territory and I was either going to sink or swim. Well, I chose to swim. Thank God for Christian television. I started watching TBN every chance I got. I started going to prayer meetings at the church every week. I started reading my Bible with seriousness because I seriously needed to hear from God to know how to handle these situations and it happened. One day as I was looking and listening for revelation, I was told that I had to take my prayer life to another level. I needed to find a set time and place to spend time with God for an hour. This is what I did because I believed God was ready for me to do His will and not mine anymore. My assignment wasn’t going to be birth over night. I had to go through the process. Everything that I knew had to be tested. Just like Job was strengthen and increased in the end, I too am strengthened and increased. I realized that when I was weak that is really when I became strong. When I didn’t know what to do, I asked him to do what he knew to do; when I couldn’t see my way out, I asked him to lead the way and when it looked like all hope was lost, I asked him to give me the victory. I read about Jesus being the source of my strength and heard others talk about him being the source of their strength and now that I had been tried by the situations that I encountered, I can now say that I have experienced God’s strength. If you were to ask anyone who I am close to one thing about me, they would say that I am a strong woman. This strength didn’t come easy for me. We all have a cross to bear, Jesus did and you will too. I believe that this is why this scripture is in the Bible “when I am weak, that’s when I’m strong”. When we are confronted with situations that try to tell us we are weak, we have to tap into the lion of Judah that is within us which is Christ our Saviour. I pray that as you turn to God through hearing from the man or woman of God, reading and meditating on God’s word and praying to God for His will to be done, strength will come to you and as you are strengthened, you will be able to minister strength to the harvest of souls who are weak and need strength.

“Mental and moral strength from the Lord will rid you of any discord, now keep your mind on God and on one accord.”

For Jehovah will rebuild Jerusalem! He will appear in his glory! He will listen to the prayers of the destitute for he is never too busy to heed their requests. I am recording this so that future generations will also praise the Lord for all that he has done. And a people that shall be created shall praise the Lord. The Living Bible

Talk To The Hand That Answer Prayers

I remember the first time I was invited to prayer meeting as if it was just yesterday. I went about my day in anticipation of God moving in our midst. I had never been to a prayer meeting in a church setting but I just knew deep down inside that what I was told about prayer was true – there is power in prayer. I went to the prayer meeting which lasted an hour. We started out praying together and then we disbursed and began to pray individually. It was a wonderful experience to me. I began to see a change in my attitude towards the situations I was dealing with. I had peace and knew that everything was going to be all right. I felt like Cornelius did in the Book of Acts as he received the fruit of his prayers that went up before God. But as I continued to go to prayer meetings on a regular basis, I began to wonder why less than 1% of the congregation would attend prayer meetings. Maybe they don’t know that there is power in prayer or maybe their prayers didn’t get answered the way they wanted them to. But regardless to what the reason was and may be today, I am here to challenge you to discipline yourself and show up to prayer meeting to pray for the harvest of souls that don’t know that God answers prayers and watch God move on situations that most think are impossible. Take time to meditate on the following scriptures and get excited about the fact that you are preparing yourself to pull down strongholds, open blinded eyes, loose those who are shackled and bound by the enemy. Don’t worry about what is happening in the natural because what happens through prayer is supernatural. That’s what makes it such a powerful weapon. If you’ve ever had your prayers answered, you know what I’m talking about. If not, I challenge you to walk in faith and believe that God answers the fervent prayers of the righteous. Don’t stop praying until you get an answer. Be like Jacob and let God know, that you won’t stop praying until He blesses you with answered prayers. After all, we do have a cloud of witnesses that have gone on before us that is cheering us on. I believe that because of the prayers of other intercessors, you are able to testify about how God brought you out. Oh you didn’t realize that this is the reason why you were able to send 5 kids to college with only one income and no child support or this is how you didn’t have any major health problems since you weren’t able to afford insurance, or this is how you were able to get the job that paid enough for you to get all of your needs taken care of. Now get excited about attending prayer meeting as you realize that you are apart of the body who is ushering in the presence of the Holy Spirit into every situation imaginable on the behalf of others. If you don’t know what to pray for, just get bold enough and ask at least 10 people each day if they have something that they need you to be in agreement with them on through prayer and watch God work miracles, signs and wonders.

“As you find a time and place to pray for all of your questions and concerns, Jesus does answer prayers is what you will learn.”
